About Flood Risk Environmental

Antony Riozzi BEng Hons — Director & Principal Consultant, Flood Risk Environmental

Antony Riozzi BEng Hons — Director & Principal Consultant, Flood Risk Environmental

Flood Risk Environmental is an independent flood risk and drainage consultancy founded by Antony Riozzi, a specialist consultant with over 17 years' experience preparing Flood Risk Assessments, SuDS drainage strategies and detailed drainage designs for planning applications across England and Wales.

We work directly with developers, architects, planning consultants and land agents to deliver technically robust, planning-ready reports that satisfy the Environment Agency, Lead Local Flood Authorities and Local Planning Authorities at first submission.

Unlike large multi-discipline consultancies where flood risk work is passed to junior staff, at Flood Risk Environmental every report is prepared and reviewed by a qualified, experienced consultant. You deal directly with the person doing the work — no account managers, no juniors, no delays.

Our focus is simple: technically sound reports, written to pass first time, delivered on time and at a fair, fixed price.

Our Approach

About Flood Risk Environmental

Independent & Focused

As an independent specialist consultancy, flood risk and drainage is all we do. We don't offer ecology, transport, architecture or any other discipline — just focused, expert flood risk and drainage work. This means our advice is always informed by deep, current knowledge of NPPF, PPG, EA guidance and LLFA requirements.

Practical and Client-Focused

We understand that planning programmes are time-sensitive and that clients need clear, practical advice — not over-engineered or overly cautious reports that create problems rather than solve them. Our goal is always to find a technically sound solution that supports your planning application.

Written to Pass

Every FRA, drainage strategy and technical report we produce is written specifically to address the requirements of your local planning authority and LLFA. We don't use generic templates — each report is tailored to your site, your development proposal and the known concerns of your specific LPA and LLFA consultee.

Ongoing Support

We don't disappear after submitting a report. If your LPA or LLFA comes back with queries, conditions or objections, we're here to respond. We provide technical support throughout the planning process, including condition discharge, permit applications and detailed design.
